Ubuntu… why does it come to thee?

Our router is an old Compaq box (800MHz). It used to be running Gentoo, it was all configured and nice. Then we came to update it when I decided to attempt to sort out packet shaping. I just wanted one package, but of course the package wasn’t in portage any more and the new one had a whole load of dependencies. Not wanting to wait several weeks while our slow connection downloaded the packages and compiled them all, we started looking for other alternatives.

Enlightenment - Beauty at your fingertips. Truth. Kinda.

Now, I haven’t used enlightenment for a while. Last time I did it was nothing special. E17 brings a whole new feel to everything, basically all the fancy bits from other Desktop Environments/Window Managers and sticks them in one place. Still it manages to be lightweight. Impressive.
